Our People

Jane Hufton
Flower Pod Centre Manager

Hello, I’m Jane…
There aren’t many mornings I wake up and think, ‘Oh no, I’ve got to go to work again’!
I am surrounded by great people, in a glorious setting, doing something I love.
Flower Pod embodies teamwork, commitment and a whole lot of fun.
Nurturing people is my passion – to be doing it in a garden? Dreamy!

It’s the people that make Flower Pod what it is – a positive, vibrant and welcoming space. Without the dedication and passion of local people, Flower Pod would not be the success it is.

Our team is made up of staff with expertise in horticulture, adult education and learning disability support, plus many wonderful volunteers from all walks of life.

Client Services Lead

Hello, I’m Tracey… I’m all about the people we support! I’m passionate about my job and work hard, with the rest of the team, to ensure every client who comes to Flower Pod has a positive and unique experience and that they develop and grow as individuals. Having a horticultural background and eight years’ experience of working in adult social care, I’m fortunate that I can combine my love of working with people with learning disabilities with my love of gardening – the perfect job!

Horticultural Lead

I’m Sam, and I started working at Flower Pod at the beginning of 2019. I’m very lucky to work in such a picturesque place, but gardening isn’t just about making things look pretty. More important is the way it can help people from all walks of life. I love the way that Flower Pod offers so many different things to get involved in, so all our clients can find their own space and their own way of working – feeling safe, engaged and above all, proud.
